North Carolina HealthyBuilt Homes

HealthyBuilt Homes is a North Carolina certification program that encompasses the gamut of Green. “A HealthyBuilt Home is a comfortable, healthy and affordable home that reduces energy and water usage and protects the environment. Building materials and processes are selected to reduce pollution and the waste of natural resources both during the manufacturing and construction phases and throughout the life of the home.” A point system allows applicants to gain Certified, Bronze, Silver, or Gold recognition.

HealthyBuilt Homes is unique in that the program targets small to medium home builders offering technical assistance, marketing assistance, design reviews, workshops, presentations, and field consultation services.
